Had enough of the big smoke have you?.....been in your exact shoes my friend....work hard / play hard mentality down there. No thanks. I did a few years in Toronto and the best move I ever did was move back home here in North Bay.
I would suggest you book a couple of vacations up here and test the waters. Heck you should hook up with some of the sponsors on this board and stay there for a week or so. These people are "tuned into" our great city and lakes...I am sure they can help you out. They know lots of folks near and far.
It also helps if you know someone up here too. Perhaps a few on this board can offer you help or even employment. Obviously if you are posting this on a fishing board, you are into fishing. North Bay and area has outstanding fishing opportunities, and the pace and lifestyle is no where near the speed of Toronto. Adds years to your life!
What line of work are you looking for? What kind of money do you want/expect to make?

I hear ya, I live in Georgina and work in Newmarket currently, will be looking up north when retirement knocks in a few years. Have been visiting and fishing the area around NB lately and will be high on my list of places to end up. Maybe get a side job working in a local Rink, driving the Ice Resurfacer in the winter, and fish all summer.
