i recently bought a used fishing boat. I've lived here my whole life but just got into fishing and really enjoying it. Started fishing out in Turtle Lake for Bass and that was a ton of fun but now i would like to get into fishing Nipissing for Walleye. So basically I'm not looking for anyone's hot spots but just a general ideal of where to go. i thought about starting to fish out in Callander but not sure if that's where to start. I would love to hire a guide for a day just to show me the basics of fishing for walleye. does anyone know anyone that guides for a day?? love this site very insightful.

Northland's Mr Walleye crawler hauler in gold with float from CTC and a 2-3 oz bottom walker with worms works great trolled dead slow any where around the flats off Deep Water Point or the Manitou islands this time of year. Also good at the mouth of South Bay near the can and around the rocks on the east side just into the bay. Make sure you have a chart in the bay though, there are some prop eating shoals in there if you don't know the waters. Hope this helps, Rob
