That made me feel physically sick...in my 13 years of really targeting musky, I know I unfortunately hooked one badly a few years ago....and even though she swam away I would guess she didn't survive...and I still think about it as I felt terrible. Good for those guys to confront them...$10 says the idiots will think twice before doing that again...or at least I hope so...
C&R!!!

You can't reason with complete weiners.....there's no legitimate argument for just killing gamefish under any circumstance.....particularly in this incidence......as approved legal consumption wasn't the motive.
Unfortunately, I've fished Lake St. Clair many times myself in the past 30 years and have seen numerous occurrences of improper handling of caught Muskie's.....several times by charter boat operators themselves.
Some charter boat captains operating on St. Clair have a bad habit of hurling caught fish back into the water, head first, while the boat is still in motion as a method of release. Most survive but some don't.
One of my closest friends and fishing buddies had to rescue and attempt to revive a 45lb., 56" Muskie that was handled in a similar rough manner back in Oct 2010. The fish eventually was able to swim off under it's own steam.....with no help from the charter captain.....he was long gone to snag another paying charter a fish.
And all this after St.Clair's Muskie population was severely impacted by (piscirickellsia) 'Muskie pox'......back in 2004-2006. You'd think anglers would appreciate the resource in St.Clair and the economic impact the species has to that area.
I to am disgusted by the video and give the two resourceful anglers who caught it on tape credit for their self control......I'm not sure given the ###### anglers behaviour when confronted.....if I would have been quite as reserved in my reaction to the situation.
Some guys just scream to be dealt with the same way they behave.....with total disrespect for their well being.
But you don't have to go very far to see somewhat similar behaviour with respect to the ghost nets being hauled up in Nipissing.
It's all just senseless slaughter of a valuable resource......on an even larger scale.

Good reply Grumpa, I agree, loony and I fish together a lot. while it may be politically incorrect to say this, I'll go out a limb here (without loony being involved in any way I might add) who is really responsible for the nets on NIP, ? like really, what is the quota's and who has the quota's,,, just my opinion and I'm not being racist in any way shape or form, just being realistic. look at who is able to put nets out and there is all the answers!!!! Time for tough love here!!! I hope the guy in that video is charged to fullest extent possible as well as the people in regards to the nets,

Yes it did, CO's are checking into it according to another site, hopefully the guy gets nailed although with his attitude the dick likely doesn't bother with a license anyway. I think a crack on his head with a Slugger is in order, Sorry!
