Rice Lake water temp, was out Tuesday evening

Was out 8th September on Rice - water temp of 73/74 degrees. We caught nothing. Not even a hit!

Last night we went out - water temp now 63/64 degrees! We both went home with a walleye each and some good misses.

Fishing Rice has been tough this year. Seem's to me a lot of the action has been in the evening/night on this lake.

Same thing with me, last week temps were 72 ish and last night they were down to 63. Bit is still slow, caught one last weekend and 2 last night, one 5 pounder that was released.

Davidmk - agree that fishing Rice lake this year has been challenge. Not sure that agree that evening is better - that's when I usually fish! Just not as good this year.

The two of us went back out on rice Thursday evening and fished the same spots. Only results were a 3.5 lb bass each- no walleye!!!

Water temp was still 63 F.
