Tonight I caught 21" walleye - just off the point of my cottage!!!

Cottage is on Kashagawigamog.

Over past couple years I've noticed that those with boats always go 'somewhere else' to fish. Never stay front of their place. This week I'm fishing local local - in front of cottage.

Tied up boat. Cleaned fish. Then went to dock for a few quick casts. got another walleye! About 17".

What a great place!!!!

Bass fishing has been challenge - a few at 4" and only a couple of any size - large and small.

Pictures later - when figure out how to reduce their size.

Nice walleye...pretty great when you can get them right off the dock!

Nice walleye! Looks like a perfect eater.
Ive never gotten a walleye off the dock at my place on Kash. Hooked a musky though once and have had 3 or 4 follows up to the dock.

Nice report. Catching fish off the dock is definitely a high.

Hey bluenote, that's some nice fishing. Years ago I guided out of Forrest Hill Lodge, up on Lovesick Lake. It is situated about half way up on the lake, and every morning pulling out I would notice an unusual migration. I would be seeing boats from the west end of the lake encountering boats from the east end of the lake. Meeting somewhere in the middle, passing each other as they headed to the far end of the lake. Convinced that fishing was better down at the other end of the lake. Unless you're fishing a very unique form of structure, start your day right off your dock. Save your gas, unless you just really absolutely want to go for a boat ride. LOL

I used to stand on my dock and cast over to my neighbours dock. Then I would watch him cast over to my dock.
