If you had a choice to purchase a summer place which lake would you choose? I am looking at campgrounds on both lakes. i spend most of my time fishing for bass, walleye and pan fish.

Buckhorn is probably better, but Balsam is on the Trent. The advantage to Buckhorn is available access without negotiating any canals. Limits seasonal access, and time constraints, having to get back before last lockage. Still Balsam is a good enough body of water in it`s own right.
