I've had good luck with walleye using a warm harness weighed down with a single split shot. This is trolling on the lake, along the weedbeds or drop offs.

My best luck has actually come fishing at night using a Rapla classic style husky jerk. (Black/Silver in colour). But this has been off shore, fishing a secret spot of the river.

Good luck.

My dad was born, and raised on Stony lake. He swore by a worm harness. Trolled it, and caught everything on it. Walleyes, Musky, and Bass. That was somewhere about 60 years ago, but fish haven't evolved that much. Still dinosaurs. LOL I like getting out a bit deeper than the weed edge, and pull around a Rapala tail dancer. The huge one in perch. It's kind of a chrome green finish. Nice. : )

If you're trolling the south west end of the lake is good because it's deep and less weeds to pick up , if that doesn't work don't overlook jigging them I've jiggled up a ton this year on worms and a jig head
