Hey guys,
I'm coming up for a wedding this weekend and despite the less than favorable weather forecast, am thinking of pulling up the boat to try and get some fishing in Friday AM and Sunday AM. Staying at my friends place by the Waltonian, was either going to launch out of Idyl Tyme or down in South Bay. Was going to target eyes just jigging since I'll have the GF and we're not feeling too much like putting in the time trolling for the muskies. Just wondering if you think we're better off heading around Smith Island or the shoals in front of Waltonian area, or heading over to S.B.? PM me if preferred. Appreciate it.

Weather looks like it may be nasty according to the current forecast for this coming weekend.Winds may approach the 20-25km/hour range is what I'm hearing.I would stick close to the shelter of the South Bay Islands or Smith Island in Callander Bay as you had mentioned.
I was going to head up for a week of Muskie fishing out of Sunset Cove starting this coming Saturday but will most likely put the trip off until Oct.11-18 which looks a better in terms of storm fronts. Will also give the water to cool down a bit more as last week probably pushed the temp. up a bit too high.
