Hi guys, I'm new to the forum but also relatively inexperienced as a fisherman. I was planning a portaging trip up in the lakes and wondering if there are any good lakes to hit for both. Any type of fish would do! Any bait suggestions also welcome. Thanks.

have a look at the burnt river. You can start north and paddle with the current to Cameron lake. There are some stops along the way - Kinmount and Burnt River town.

Burnt River town? I think that I went through that village when hiked that section of the Ganaraska trail a few years ago. Even when hiking - don't blink or will miss it!
