Recently bought a cottage on Balsam Lake. I'm looking for some advise for pickerel fishing. I've tried along the shoreline of my cottage but havn't had much luck. Only smallmouth bass. Cottage is on Grand Island across from Rosedale. Thanks for any advise.

I fish for walleye at night in the fall from shore all over the kawartha's. Put some time in at night off your dock and you should get them. 3" white twister tails with a quarter oz jig head is my bait of choice. My buddies and I have landed some nice walleyes out of balsam over the years. Good Luck and tight lines!
