From what we've seen, a bite starts off at about 5:30-6:00 and will last the longest and be packed with the most action. Then the crappies will come in and out about every hour hour and a half each bite will be shorter and have less action, 10:30 is when we stopped fishing and by that time we had 28 big crappie in the bucket and we were very selective when building up our share of fish to take home. So I would be there by 4:30-5:00 and fish till 10:30-11:00, this info comes from an experience on Lake Scugog by the way. Good luck

Wow!! You guy make me want to become an ice-fisherman, I know its a blast from all the ice fishing shows I've seen. I envision the movie "grumpy old men"

Hollywood got the idea for that movie watching me, and my brother on the ice. They changed it just enough so they wouldn't have to pay us.
