I read your post and understand where you are coming from but lets face it - if you have a "home" lake for lack of a better term - and you spent hours finding your own hot spots would you give these up to a stranger? Or even the lake? So the next time out there are boats on your spot? I know you didnt ask for specific GPS coordinates etc but come on...
The Kawarthas are so heavily fished as it is and there are only so many lakes in the chain. On my lake I have seen Pontoon boats loaded with a dozen anglers stacked on prime spots for 8 hours at a time. All day - everyday. Couple that with tournaments every weekend and recreational boaters, etc.. The last thing the anglers from this board (I am speaking in General terms here hopefully I dont offend anyone in the process ) need is more boat traffic. When people see my fish pictures and ask me where I caught them half the time I tell them a different lake!
I'll never forget seeing a mount of a 36lb laker in a real Estate office in downtown Haliburton. It had Drag Lake engraved on a plaque below the massive fish. The gentleman who caught the fish told me where it was really caught after I promised I would never tell anyone.
There is no law against asking - just dont be surprised or offended if people dont answer.
On a good note - every Kawartha Lake kicks a##. Go fish them all and find spots that you can keep all to yourself!

Very well said muskyfreak13.
wishin fishin, just continue to get out there and have a terrific time.... YOU DIDN'T offend anyone. You made me laugh!!
And I got to call him a weiner. Hey muskyfreak, the only reason I change lakes on the Kawartha's is because I am tired of looking at the same boathouse day, after day. Yeah, the fishing is good on any of them, you just want a change of scenery. I am reminded of a story from my past. At the Trading Post, and Snackbar in Burleigh Falls, the owners wife was cooking at the grill, and asked How is the fishing? She's a real nice lady, known her for years. So I told her Mrs. Zipple The fishing is always good in Burleigh Falls, just sometimes the catching doesn't quite keep up.
