First pics were from fisherboy from south end of lake. Dan-o's pics were north end of lake. I am guessing you don't live around here, as if you did you would know we had some double digit days between the two groups of pics that set back ice development by a good bit.

I noticed than on December 1st and 2nd temperatures made it down to -10.8 and -13.3 in Port Perry during the night, you'd think that would help, how is it around there if anybody knows?

Hey pray for cold you need to slow down a bit and wait for the reports. Or go chip some ice. The ice would be very unstable at the moment might have 2 inches here and an inch over there right now.
You need to know before you go. Cant always rely on fishing forums to do the work. every one is responsible for there own actions this means everyone should know the conditions on there own.
Pray for cold do you own a spud bar if not stay of the lake.Wait for the operaters to let you kmow its ok.
Another thing about the interweb i say im fishing 3 inches but just down a bit there is less then an inch. but you thought it was ok but yet don't know the conditions.
Please stay of the ice if you dont know . You just seem to be to quick to get out and dont even know what your walking on good luck with your season and stay on the top side .

@fish food I live no where near the lake so that is why I ask, I don't plan on going either until hut operators start opening for the season or at least until people start fishing in the area we like to go to and are reporting thick ice, even then, by the time we've fully planned it out there will probably be 10inches to a foot of ice again. I was just curious because I love fishing the lake a lot and I'm dying waiting for a chance so hearing about ice forming sort of keeps me sane lol. By the way on a side note for everybody reading I don't want people going out to check right now I just would like to see some visual reports from someone who maybe regularly drives by the lake for example, "it looks sealed over but thin", or, " looks somewhat thick but the ice is white and slushy". Thanks
