I made a sled similar to yours for my clam, but I didn't raise it as high as you a did and trouble pulling it in deep snow. I like the way you have raised yours. She will glide across the drifts with ease. Awesome job

The PVC uprights are 13 inches. It's a 1 inch piece of pine on top and then the cross pieces. It's sitting on the skis, so the "deck" is 14-15 inches off the ground.

Not designed to sit on. The wood is all soft pine (light weight) and I would be concerned of it breaking. That is why I take my lawn chair out with me.
If you wanted to build one to sit on, I would use stronger wood.

I guess if the snow was deeper you could have holes in the PVC for raising the deck....no snow then lower the deck for more stability. Looks great Ralph
