Just as the title suggests do you think there will be safe Ice new years and where do you think will be the safest lake to visit.

I wanted to go down deep bay road.. but apparently Gull is playing hard to get! So I figured I would go to Lake Scugog although I never really get excited to fish that lake. But I guess I am getting desperate I am also thinking I can hit some smaller lakes in the Minden area for trout. Does anyone have any suggestions? I want to maybe get to some deeper lakes of QE provincial park.

I'm going to scugog, not saying its "safe" though, if you go as far as Halliburton those lakes should be good
