If anyone has some suggestions on lake trout lakes north of Peterborough to about the Bancroft area that are productive. I would love for my son to hook into one but the lakes I go to for Lakers are quite a hike in for the little guy and to be honest they do not produce fish that often.
Thanks any help is greatly appreciated.

I can share a few lakes try going on Allen lake it's home to lakers brookies and bows so you have a great chance at catching some kind of trout! I'm not gonna give away my best spots but try to look for transition points like from 20ft to 50ft in the shallower water you'll find brookies you can use plain minnows or worms and in the mid section from 30-50ft you'll find rainbows all over the water colum so they can be tricky but as long as you use a small spoon and jig sporadically through the water column you may get one to commit same goes for lakers accept in the deepest spots of the lake. If you want more info google it there's quite a bit

Thank you gentleman, I really appreciate it. I will scout those lakes and then take out the little man.

Hopefully he comes back with one for the smoker for us
I will post anything noteworthy

Cheers,
Russ
