Building myself a Smitty and was wondering what yours looks like. Got some pretty radical ideas of my own, but looking for input from others. Thanks!

Google images for ice fishing sled and you will see so many you won't know which to choose.

Use the search feature above and ensure to clear the dates and search all forums. You should find lots of info and pics. You can also check out the DIY link above as it has a smitty design with pics and instructions.

Find my earlier post of the sled I built last month--it's complete with pics. Tell you what, I'll find it and "bump" it to current. SDC

I like to push my sled (easier to keep an eye on the equipment), the push bar is removable and the wheels pivot out of the way on the lake

Awesome tater! I like the swing away wheels for travelling on dry roads getting to the lake. I'm thinking of a small trailer to tow behind my atv with the "swing away wheels".

Thanks tater. Cool idea. I am curious how you get the wheels to pivot. Could you post a close up of the wheels?

The bar has an offset on the bottom to allow it to past the bolt head I use as a stop in the up and down position

The wheels are in the up position for ice travel

Interesting, what do you do with the wheels when you hit the ice?

Very interesting. Gives me a lot more ideas, but I think I may go simple right now and go nuts later when I can get the materials I want to build my ideas into reality.
