Late fall is time for musky, pike and walleye.
Pike are a cold-water fish and they can be taken along any weedy shoreline. Many of the weeds have died back now, so you will find much dead vegetation attaching to your lure. Surface body baits will usually be the best option. This will be similar for musky, which can be found in shallow water, but very close to deep water such as points and shoals, etc., running out into deeper water. Musky too, are regarded as a cold-weather fish, but in areas with decent musky numbers, they are quite catchable in the summer.
Walleye will be lurking a bit deeper than they do in the summer, but still not all that deep. I'd be looking for walleye out in water anywhere from 15-25 feet deep at present, and close to large shallow bay areas where they'll come in to feed at night.
