Was back today to where I fished from the west shore of the Bay last week.
Calm waters and lots of fish jumping, about 500-600feet from shore.
Couldn't cast the spawn sacks that far to get to them and they didn't appear to be coming in closer. Tried different coloured netting as well as "air blown" worms. I was using rainbow roe and the gent next to me was using salmon roe.
I left at noon and neither of us had a hit all morning. SDC

Small dime sized roe bags are working for me too. Hot colour is champagne. I will be out this week fishing Gbay and Huron rivers and will report any success. Good Luck out there!

didnt get much sleep today long night shift ahead of me but with the cool running river in my mind ill get through it.Tied some small bags tonight but was disapointed to find i was out of hot pink mesh. Well will give the notty a try in morning. I am hoping to see the river clean and lower than my last attempt.Tied up some white, yellow, and orange bags and a few floaters too incase i want to sink for a while . Will report later on my day.

I fished a local river today for steelhead as well. Standard float fishing with roe. Landed one small rainbow trout and saw a brown trout swipe at my eggs, but it didn't hook-up. That's all to report. Water was low and clear. Tough conditions for sure.

Hey Jerry too bad the fish didn't co-operate more. I'm looking forward to next week. Right now the weather looks good for some shore fishing on Nottawasaga Bay. This week I acquired something that might change my luck somewhat. A friend of mine gave me some brown trout spawn. There are times when it can be the answer. The roe was in his freezer for a year, so I'm hoping it is OK. I will try it and report next week. SDC
