Thanks NSFISHER for turning the photo again! One more attached.
Power auger blades have challenge with cold and slush. At one point today had to take propane torch out and melt off the ice.
Yes - great to have the auger when moving around on 13" of ice! It's in the shower now - thawing . . .
Here's on more photo - my set up leaving the cottage ready to go on the ice. New Otter flip attached via the hitch discussed via previous discussion.
today was very quiet lake. Only saw 4 snow machines on ice while I was out. For some reason - two of them had to drive 20' from my set up (must have been 4 strokes - not as whiny as the 2 strokes).
Back at it tomorrow - got to get something better than 6" perch!

How is the new hut treating you out there bluenote, and any thoughts on the waxies and butter worms?
Hope you nail down those walleye!
Cheers
On my Sunday / Monday excursion (not yet posted till I get to a real keyboard) I lost via flooding one of my packages of wax worms. The butter and other wax container ended freezing.
No matter - today used some or the wax worms to tip the trebles - not sure if made a difference as didn't mark many fish. Certainly cleaner and quicker to use than tipping with minnow heads . . .

Definately a nice setup you have there. Been doing ok with the waxies but havent used much as yet. Fish have been pretty active so i have been keeping with larger profile baits for the most part. Once they start getting finicky or i go for crappie and bluegills i will definately be relying on them a lot more.

Haha I feel ya Bluenote! I fished there once last year and worked it as hard as I could on foot. Prob drilled about 20+ plus holes fishing all kinds of depths and only marked one or two fish. The only upside to the whole trip was the 1 fish I caught all day was my first ever blue perch. Other than that I can't say I'm a big fan of that lake. It's like everywhere else it seems, 20 years ago it was amazing but now dried up. However a few weeks after I was there my dad's friend and his son went and sent me a picture of a 17lb walleye they pulled out of there!

Nice pic of the blue perch - thanks for sharing! Perhaps I'll catch one?
