Anyone ever set up shop on the smaller lakes that get drained in the winter? Thought it might be worth a shot

I've traveled devils lake to get to Sheldon's lake and beyond - posted a report nearly two years ago. I've stopped at Devils on way out but never caught . . .

Bob's Lake is near by - I've never tried . . .

Sunday on way home from cottage may stop at either Devils or Bob's Or Miners Bay.

Why do you say these lakes get drained in the winter?

From my view of Devils over the couple years - the level is always constant by Wier at parking lot.

Have a friend who's on Little Bob - but they drain it (just a bit) in the winter, through the dam on the lake, which brings the water level way down.

We're going to try it out - as we've never actually ice fished ON his lake before - but might as well try - could make for an easier walk.

I'm on North pigeon today lots of slush. There's lake trout and small mouth bass.

So - we tried fishing on Little Bob lake last weekend - not many cottages - but some good deep spots (70-80'). It's said to have trout, and bass - but we were only able to pull out 1 measly rock bass after hours of trekking and drilling.

Had to try it out, since it's not very fished - but likely the last time we ever try that again

Drock24 - Great for posting report.

Maybe fished out already? And someone threw back the rock bass . . .
