hey guys just wondering what you guys and gals like to use for pulling some pike through the ice. i have only been out a few times for pike during the winter and those time i used about 2 inch shiner on a jig head or on a tip up. i think im going to go out this weekend for themplan to use some bigger minnows this time arround as well as a jigging rap. what do you think?

Large shinners always do good.
Suckers are good as well.
I fish live and dead minnows for pike on the tip ups.
They both seem to produce evenly.
Ive also got many hook ups on just a small jig while fishing perch/ crappie/ bluegills.
thats a fun fight!!

Hey
I've used big minnows with jigs and they work well.
I've just recently discovered that the Rapala Ice Jig lure works wonders.

I've that putting sardine (from a can) works well on tip - up.

Herring ,suckers or smelt . Otherwise jig something noisy with rattles or deadstick a plastic . Keep your baits higher in the water column .
