For those of you familiar will Rosseau, you will know the point I am talking about. Went out yesterday to find our usual parking spot and access to the lake heavily posted with new No Parking and No Trespassing signs. At the time a worker was just starting to put up a chain across the road. In talking with a CO, there has been several vehicles damaged and things disappearing so the owners have closed if off. I have fished out of the spot for ten years with no problems. Just another example of a few inconsiderate, disrespectful people that didn't appreciate the priviledge we had.......

That is too bad! I know a lot of people that will be sad to hear that! Few bad apples ruining it for the rest who just need a place to park and access the lake.

Unfortunately, it's not just that access or lake either and, with increasing fishing pressure (especially coming head to head with increased development), it doesn't look like the situation will be getting any better.

I actually talked to the guy blocking it off. He said there is a new owner and he's tired of maintaining the property and all these people parking wherever, riding sleds and quads on his property and the garbage! I picked up a half box of timbit's and a cup on my way on the ice. Once again a percentage of us respect others and play by the rules and some other self important douchbags ruin all of our reps! I don't blame the guy! Disappointing but I don't blame him.

That is crappy. I have also used that landing for 8 years. Inconsiderate people ruin it for everybody. Adams bay landing should still b open to use. But it is always so busy

That is really too bad. I only used it for early season access, but still dissapointing to have the few ignorant people ruin one of the few points that locals can access the lake. Infuriating really.

I have it from some avid fishermen I met today on Rosseau, that dispite the signs, dispite the chain, Muskoka Livin is right. The road is public. I'll give it a try this week and let everyone know or be asking for bail money....

It may be a public lane but it is plowed and maintained by the owners not the town or county. So this person does all the work and some inconsiderate people abuse the access, this is what happens. So park at the road , walk in, and don't litter or leave any issues. Oh and don't post pictures or give out addresses of such access and not expect even more problems at these precious access spots! It's ok to share amongst members but posting a pic with the green numbers as someone did this morning is as bad as giving gps points for the whole internet to see! Just a thought.

Hey folks FF is correct, and since I see a lot of new members on this thread and have already had to edit a post I remind all to read the rules above. Posting of specific location info for either fishing locals or access locals is not allowed. If want to share info with another member please use the PM service.
