got to the lake early sat morning, went out from cashmans creek rd. lots of slush about a hundred yrds out, fished 38 fow and caught one smelt on a teardrop jig, marked a couple of fish but nothing, the ten people around us had no luck either, left at noon cause of the rain and mist, about 8 inches of good blue ice

I was also on sand lake a couple weeks ago. We only caught 2 small lakers and lost a two pounder at the hole. Fished by the island the first day and the mouth of the river the next. Marked lots at the river mouth. My buddy had one chaser. It seemed slow compared to last year. Hoping to make it again in a few weeks.
