I HAVE NEVER HAD MUCH LUCK ON SIMCOE. SHAME CONSIDERING I LIVE IN INNISFIL. I WAS HOPING SOME OF MY BROTHER (OR SISTER) BOARD MEMBERS COULD TELL WHICH SPOT IS BEST TO WALK OUT FROM (I DON'T MIND IF ITS BELLE EWART, LEFROY, GILFORD, INNISFIL OR EVEN BARRIE AT THIS POINT)
MIGHT HAVE TO BRING THE KIDS SO I WOULD RATHER A SHORTER WALK. LOL

THANKS FOLKS

The shortest walk would be park in front of sobeys and walk straight to the fish section , should have a good selection to choose from

Sorry man had to do it , good luck on the ice ,

Probably Gilford, but there's no magic X marks the spot, you'll have to poke a few holes to find that for yourself.

My 11 year old can take 1-2km hikes just fine. The 7 year old not so much, so i just make sure there is room in the sled for her to sit on a bucket and she is pleased as punch!

x3 Gilford lots of good perch action and the odd pike.

If you live in Innisfil, you can also try IBP, I think you can get a free pass from the city. Lots of perch action there as well.
