Hooked up today for a trip on Rosseau with three fearless, dedicated and knowledgeable young fellas all board members. We met up at port carling and ventured through my friends cottage over a foot of freshly fallen snow. Knuguy, Al, Steelheader and myself. With all this abundance of youthful knowledge I just knew the lakers didnt stand a chance!! The morning temps were very nice with no wind at all however we were fishing in a steady moderate snow. I must say never heard a single complaint from my three comrades!!It didnt take very long for my slipfloat tactic to show how well it produces as five minutes in I slam the first laker of the day. I also hook into the second fish of the day and all around me now I'm sure I could hear the Sounds of persons digging for floats lol!! Steelheader Dave finally gets on the board and a deep sigh of relief comes over me now as I certainly didn't want to emberrass my guests. We fished and exchanged stories laughed and cursed and just had a wonderful day on the Ice snowstorm and all. At days end we totaled 13 lakers between us several missed chances in four and a half hours of fishing!! Damn you lakers ya never had a chance, not against the fearless four!! Pics to follow.

That was a great day, Dale! (but I'm sure Allan would hope for a better ending---but never mind, Dave and his trusty truck and chain to the rescue!) You certainly demonstrated the effectiveness of your "secret" little technique. I will certainly give that a try. I remember a few of us having quite a few misses on Joe last year. I'm hoping to improve the percentage this year.
But I have to say---that pic with the stove in the background gotta be from last week!!!
