Light rod weight of sinker bends it a bit doesn't take much to make it wiggle

If inside a hut , Spring tip on jigging rod, + 2nd rod with slip bobber If outside, Spring tip on jigging rod + dead stick rod on a balanced rod holder

The only time i ever used a bobber while ice fishing was when i was targeting finicky Crappie. I used a slip float or spring indicator.
