My son has always wanted to catch a monster musky, or at least a big one.

This year hopefully he will be able to tick this one off his bucket list.

I would appreciate any recommendations on the best lakes to find the big ones.

Since we are somewhat newbies to musky fishing, a recommendation a guide service would be really appreciated.

Thanks for any advice.

Joe

If Lake Nipissing works for you call Shawn Degagne the owner of Bear Creek Cottages 705-840-3944 (cell phone) or check out their web site. He operates Fish of a Lifetime Charters and offers guided service and has caught some monster musky on Nipissing over the years.

Good luck

There are 2 guides I know that catch Musky.

One is on Lake St. Clair, the other does the Upper Niagara.

When you choose your location or area then I cna provide more if you like

Thanks, i was thinking more remote, either up north or towards Ottawa , with hopefully less fishing pressure.

Are these ares that i shouldn't overlook? I know st Clair has been a pretty popular spot for Musky?

Definitely don't overlook St. Clair and the Detroit River. If you do go give Jon Bondy a call. Jon is a great guy and he boats a ton of monster muskies every year with his clients.
