Hey guys making the trip up to Lake Bernard (Sundridge) this weekend and would like to do some fishing. I was just wondering if its a good idea to bring up the bike or not just not sure how much snow is on the ice. Also if anyone feels free to let me know how the bite has been it would be very helpful.

Thanks

I just called a hut operator on Lake Bernard today and it told be the conditions are terrible. He does not even have his huts out yet. He said its 2 ft of snow, then 6"s of water/slush, then the ice. He uses ATVs to get his huts out. He mentioned some huts were out on the lake but that it was dicey conditions. We were planning on walking, but i doubt thats going to happen now. Let me know if you find anything else out or a different perspective.

I was also planning to fish Lake Bernard next weekend but also heard conditions were not great. Lake Bernard Outfitters seems to be closed at this point. Does anyone have the number for the new bait store on the main street of Sundridge? Will post here if I get any new information on the lake conditions.

You need a sled or snowshoes to play on Bernard at the moment unless you get on the packed sled trail but don't be drilling holes on it either lol

How thick is the ice right now? Coming up tomorrow until tuesday, should i break out the small 4inch or will i still be able to manage with an 8? Both manuals. Really dont like having a tiny hole incase of larger fish, but thats life
