Gentleman,
Out of the gate: great db, congrats!
My name is David. Almost 50yrs on a calendar but physically able, and mentally is a whole different story. No wife, no kids but 1 very crazy girlfriend.
Born and bred citidiot and sometime lugen.
Been fishing since i was a wee tyke. I'm not very good but I am lucky and in my book ANY day out fishing is a GREAT day.
Decided to embrace the winter and have been ice fishing every possible weekend for the last two years, plus the occasional day off during the week. Get around a bit: up to Haliburton, onto Chemong and spend too much time on dirty Rice. Having recently moved to Aurora I figure I might as well face my fear and tackle the big SIMCOE. So if you see me out there be nice and I'll share a fish story or two with you.
Lived in Mexico for 7 years and have a lot of salt water experience. Used to fish with the local fisherman and fished their way. The following was caught on a hand line (100#) dragging a kilo lead weight, steel leader rigged with large Mustad hooks carrying surgical like cut bait. You take the inner tube from a bike tire and cut pieces that you slide over your thumb and first two fingers of each hand for traction and protection when retrieving the line. So with a little fanfare: 13 kilo PETO (in english: "king mackerel")
