I know what happened Craig. You joined the Lake Simcoe Ice Drilling Team. I do believe we're both charter members.

My personnal best day of walleye fishing, caught the 4 on the stringer and lost another at the boat that day which in the end was okay as 4 was our limit for the boat.

Hey FatRap, those are some great looking eyes They are almost too pretty to clean. ALMOST

Fishing with marsh-mellows is a tradition in Port Credit. 12-18" leader of and egg sinker with a marsh mellow just as the salmon start to run. Just gets in their face and they either hit it in anger or just run through the line till the hit the hook. Caught many a salmon on them and oh, Kraft is the only way to go they stay on the hook much longer.

Can I assume that you are using the mini-marshmellows or the regular size ones?

Hey Nicole

Used the reg size ones, put a snap swivel at the end of the leader. Then I hold two long shank true turn hooks back to back and push them threw the mellow. Put the snap swivel through the eyes and it will last quite a while.

Well I finally got around to finding some old pics and many some are still my PB so here they are.
The one below is my personal best Brown Trout which was caught at the former Four Sisters in Port Credit. Those who know me personally will see I also looked good 12-15 yrs ago

Craig.......She is a monster. What a great picture. I know those old fishing grounds. We are getting old brother! Nice stash.......

Hey Chris, we are at that. Not sure if you caught the pic of the salmon but I am guessing you were by the bridge doing the marsh mellow toss back in those days.

As for Gord's comment. I only hope to be as spry as you when I am your age Gord.

That is a real nice marshmallow hen. I remember i bought a new truck in 81 and for the fall i would sleep in the back of it backed up to the river with the line wrapped around my finger.........and a big stay puff sitting in the river.
I almost miss those days.
I have a picture of a G olden Trout or as some people call it a palomino. It was caught at the Four Sisters .........Right were you caught that beauty brown.
Its thirty plus years old so its a polaroid.........i would have to take a picture of a picture.....but something cool to post.
