Just wondered if anyone had the chance ( or guts ) to try for an open water fish today. Up here in Parry Sound we've got a fair bit of snow and squalls, and some very thin unsafe ice on the small lakes so my boat is hibernating.

We were contemplating putting 16ft tinny in, but the winds were staedy and blowing directly at us across the lake. Smarter heads prevailed and we opted not to.

So we went swimming instead.....yes the Polar ice dip twice.

We were in Dorset area and even the smaller lakes only had a skim of ice as of today. They are calling for -21 up there tonight with windchill of -31......lets hope that starts to tighten things up without any snow.
