I've added a pad made of reflectix insulation. I've also wrapped the inside of the back rest with insulation. Cozy and warm bum and lower back.

Your welcome for sharing this DIY with you all. Fairly easy to make and surprisingly comfortable. Who doesn't carry a bucket ice fishing anyway.

Not sure whether anybody has noticed but the solid bucket has no open bottom. When you stack the cut-out bucket to form your portable toilet, you're actually sitting on the bottom of the solid bucket! Things could get messy!

LMAO.... I guess I'm always thinking of the worse case scenario while out on the ice! Maybe this seat can be turned into a dual purpose function! I love your idea though! I'm impressed with the setup!
