This is the worst crappie fishery the winter time better off going for pike and perch in my not so humble opinion.

Pike is an invasive species to that lake, they want to clean them out. limit is 5 or 6 i do believe.

Unless it's changed they do not allow you to bring minnows in. You can buy them there.

Follow signs or use GPS, you gotta go through a subdivision.

I will be looking to go to Island lake or Guelph lake shortly, which one is better for those who have fished both. How long where you out there to catch that many? Definitely looking forward to hitting the ice for the first time! Thanks. BTW any tips on where to go for Island Lake, also see they got a derby going on, worth the 35$ if i can get out on average only once a week?

Were you renting their huts or doing your own thing? Got skunked in their huts a couple years ago but it seems many catch fish.

Also to the person asking about minnows: IIRC when we went they were down to their last few minnows and weren't sure they'd have enough when we got there (turned out they did) but had suggested a bait shop in town if they did end up running out. I'm not 100 % sure on that memory though so probably best to ask with it being a conservation area.

Thanks, I will definitely call them before I go.
