Seven guys for the w/e. We (actually same guy caught them all - a youngster %!@&#) iced three Lake Trout. Two were 18 - 19" which fell in the slot and were released, the third was 13" which we could have kept but released. The two bigger ones were caught on a small all silver Williams with a minnow, the smaller one on a yellow Swedish pimple with a minnow. A few whities were being caught around us and I tried all the lures and techniques I picked up from here but only got something started. However, everyone was getting the odd tap so it kept it interesting. There was quite a bit of activite in the huts around us also. Ice was 7" - 11", mostly good black ice. On Sun, A.M. a guy in the hut next to us caught a pickerel. The hut operator said that the first one he has seen out of his huts since he started up 5 years ago. As with all weekends like these, it was great!

Thanks for that Gonagin, sounds like you had a great outing. I am heading over to Eagle Lake on Thurs, might drive to Boshkung Friday a.m. for a few hours on my way back. Could you tell me where you parked for easy access to walk to fishing grounds? Much appreciated

PH, we were at the resort right at the falls and I am not familiar with the area. When we left on Sun., coming south beside the lake, did not see a lot of people out with their sleds and portables. Sorry, not much help.
