Looks like there are enough people interested. The easiest way to do this would be to have everyone meet at the Timmies on hwy12 just by Beaverton. If some want to double up there is parking in the lot. We would meet at around 7:30 am and leave at exactly 7:45. It is about 1.5 hours to Windermere. I can purchase minnows for everyone and then get a toonie from people to reimburse myself. Bring a bait bucket. The minnows will be on the ice where we will all be. The most productive fishing is a straight minnow on a hook at the bottom. Fish hit all day. And once we are together I can give a couple of specific info on the trip. Bring as you would fishing Simcoe, a portable if you want, the ice is 7" black and 4" white. So bring whatever you need to punch holes. I am sure that there are people who will share their power augers if necessary. There are no hut rentals at all. Also no restaurant so bring thermoses and food if you want. Nearest Timmies is in Bracebridge on the way home, if needed Travel out is easy, 100 yards or so from the cars, flat ice. You can leave whenever or at the end of the day.

Please post your name here so I can have a clear list of people coming and numbers. As well, any questions you may have.

Colin is in, but I live around Alliston area on the other side of the lake. Any ideas on where I can meet the gang without going around the lake to Beaverton?

The only easy spot would be the exit on hwy 11 to Washago. There is a pull off right at the end of the exit. it is where we get on to go north. I guess that would be ok

Hey Bob
I might be able to go as well.
Jerry and I had talked about Friday?
Depending on what's what, I will let you know.
I will be coming from the other side of the Lake, so would either meet at Washago or there.

I'll help you out here ...Hwy 11 to High Falls Road turn left....come to stop sign at Muskoka Rd 4 turn right ...go to you see a Shell Gas station on left side turn left ...follow road till you come to a Y in the road ...stay to the left and follow it right down to the little wharf in Windermere,

Or you can just go straight at the Shell station and follow the road to Muskoka 25 Dee Bank Rd turn left and follow it right to Windermere ...Just stay to the right at the Y..at the stop sign just go straight into Windermere.

You will see a few huts on the lake about 100 yds ...light blue 4x8 hut with a dark blue stripe is mine...water depth there is anywhere from 50 - 80 ft depending on where you auger.

Show off, they all have GPS in the car. If coming in on High Falls Road be careful it has real hills and curves. Be careful of the deer there are many and like the road.

Sounds like fun. I smell another meet and greet.

G/F said if 100yards from the parking means 100 yards than she is in, which translate I can go. My 100 meter at bbp was more like 2km and she does not trust my judgement of distance.

What do i put into my gps that would get me there?
