Hey. Where did you get the Hummindird universal cable to connect to your Terrova. I think thats a Terrova? That stupid cable looks pricey online anywhere I can find it.

I didn't get one. My Terrova doesn't have the universal sonar. Universal sonar only works with traditional 2D sonar,with the side imaging you need to use the supplied transducer for it. Mine is attached with the cable running up the shaft of the motor. There's some good YouTube videos that show how to run the cable up the groove on the back side which keeps it super tidy and your less likely to snag it up.

Cool. I'm not gonna bother with SI on my front unit, so I am looking to use the universal sonar. But if the cable costs as much as it does I might as well use an SI unit and run it from the back as you have.

That sucks! Luckily my console has a fairly thick layer of aluminum and another layer of plastic under the top layer so it's bolted pretty solid. I tried to wiggle it once it was installed and it doesn't move at all. Maybe you can get some metal or PT plywood under there to beef it up.
