Just booked our darts team annual fishing trip. We usually go to Rice lake but thought we would try somewhere different this year. We will be there for 4 days over the July 1st weekend. Just wondered if anybody fishes this lake much and what the fishing is like.

Sorry can't help with any info but I think you folks made the right decision to get away from rice lake on the long weekend... I bet you folks will not miss rice at all.. Good luck!

Fished Lang with my buddy who lives in Marathon five years ago. Decent size walleye we caught near the boat launch. Far end of the lake we caught some decent pike in the 10-15 lb range. There are a set of rapids to go into the next lake.
It is a 7 lake chain, with smallies and big lake trout. White tube jigs and Williams wobblers worked for us on the Lakers and 5 of Diamonds and Red Dare Devils for pike. Walleyes were hitting 1/2 oz chartreuse jigs with white twisters in 3" lengths and live minnows as well with the jigs. Good luck/fishing! N.G.

Hey iv been to lang lang for New Years 2 yrs ago. Stayed at lang lake resort. I was there 3 days Icefished for not more than 12hrs or so. I didn't catch anything. But the young guy mark who's parents own the resort was a really really helpful and nice guy. Would recommend it to anyone. He also said the soft water is a lot better. Prolly gonna head up there this summer again.
