Just wondering if anyone can recommend a good provincial park either in the Sudbury or NBay area?

Going with my kids and their kids so family friendly, which most PParks are of course, but also half decent fishing and boat facilities. I have an old 17Ft tracker that can shore dock pretty good, so a water side camp site would be great/preferred.

We are pretty seasoned car campers, if there is such a thing...lol, it is more about the facilities and stuff to do other than fishing as well.

Thanks in advance eh.

Hi Kevin; Lake Temagami in my opinon is hard to beat , Finlayson provincial park is located just out of town, easy access , supplies nearby and a lake that could take you many years to learn even a fraction of it .

The scenery is breath taking , there are always areas to fish where you can hide from the wind and the fish are definity there, pike, bass, lakers, whities and the ole ling ..

Scenery, moose, eagles, osprey, grouse, bunnies ,lynx and always to be on the lookout for ..black bears..

Have never met anyone who has visited Lake Temagami that hasn't said "Wer'e going back

Cheers ..Good luck

Dave

Thanks for the tips,

Was looking over the weekend and MAN there is not much left.

We have decided on Marten River.

Went with the kids when they were younger and had a good time. Fishing is not the main reason so the beaches and trail also make the trip.

Andy, thanks for the info, not what I was looking for but I may try it w/o kids.

Marten river P.P. is a awesome it's always clean and everything you need is right there.... Fishing can be tuff on the river if you don't have experience but I think yourself will get by... There are four or five lakes you can reach from the park by boat if the beavers haven't plugged up the access to them and many great lakes in the area..big marten lake which is connected to the river and it has a good trout popultion and the other species as well.
We are headed to Marten River the first week in June and can't wait. We have been going to that area now for twenty years me ,wife, and dogs and just love it.. There are many sandy spots beside camp sites to dock boat as well as a dock at the main boat launch... We don't get a camp site in the park anymore but go there every day with the dogs and also to have a picnic or a fire sometimes... If you have any questions about the area or the park feel free to ask and I will try to help.. You have to try the rock pine restaurant it has the big walleye out front which is great for a few pics. The food is incredible and I highly recommend trying the rock pine omelet it's so good....
Cheers fishmagnet!!!!! Pm me with any questions..

Restoule PP. Fantastic fishing... you also have stormy lake right next to it. I agree, lake temagami is by far my favourite. But i dont like to fish that end of the lake. I would go with restoule personally. Imo
