Holy,holy,Walleye what a fantastic weekend to cap off the 2016 ice fishing season !!! Oh and before everyone harps at me, I parked my tractor trailer 100 feet back on shore.I wouldn't think the 10-14 inches of ice I was standing on with my floatation suit on would support it! Must say though that the ice is deteriorating quickly and I would not recommend anymore outings at this point, Enough!
Mother nature has certainly cut are season nearly in half this year,However it did not get in my way from having my personal best walleye season ever!
Also this winter was most enjoyable fishing with a few new dedicated fisherman that I met here this year on the board.
On Friday afternoon I ventured down to the local honey hole with my super cup of Timmie's coffee in hand,just to say goodbye to the last remaining ice for the season,as I had already called it a day after Tuesday and several days of balmy weather forecast for the remainder of the week.
Omg I couldn't believe my eyes when I arrived there,ten portables out there and an ATV!! SHI man it's time to put the ice rods back together make a couple calls and get my backside out here tomorrow for one last crack!!! Text Fishing Fan,do you want to fish tomorrow? Ffff Ya!!! Talk about twisting a guys arm, lol.A couple no' S then Coke aka Matt, would you like to fish tomorrow?? I was more then certain this would get a yes as the guy literally sleeps on the ice on some occasions, lmao!
The three of us fished together on Saturday morning, with Dave and I meeting up as early as possible in order to get a nearby parking spot.
Wasn't many left now unless you parked in 12" of mud,No thanks! Was a gorgeous morning with a beautiful sunrise and no wind the kind they advertise on far north fishing excursions. I drop down my chartreuse tube jig splitshots and slipfloat and settle into my little fishing world with no other thoughts for the day! I thank the higher powers for being able to do this again one more time this shortened season.

I fish on this day with the two gents and venture out on my own on Sunday. I will let the pics tell the rest of the story as my arm is a bit sore from ,We'll you see! Been a pleasure posting this season thanks my friends for mostly kind responses,see you on the water! Back to the tractor trailer on shore, omg it's gone,Wait it's in the mud shhhiiittt, call 911.lol
