Hey guys,

Just curious if there is any open water in any of the inland lakes around Parry Sound?

Not a lot yet except in current areas. The big sound is open but there's still ice out the south channel and no docks in yet in town. Should be soon with this rain though.

There were guys out in a boat on Mill Lake last week. A good portion of the one side is open.

I've not been up there since last week but my guess is no. Pretty much all the small lakes around here ( Parry Sound) are still locked up and it was -10 last night and supposed to be cold most of this coming week. Gonna be a bit more time yet.

I was up there looking at a job this morning and everything's still pretty much ice covered. Oh yeah, there's about a foot of new snow on the ground there too.

I think I'm gonna stay at home then! I'm sure not going up there to shovel snow !!! Gotta get on the open water soon though. I'm going nuts watching all the fishing shows!

We were up to the cottage last weekend and the ice was breaking up but still covered most of the lake. Back up for this weekend and she's all opened up. Most lakes we drove by are open as well. Just a little ice here and there now. Sun is shining this morning and life is good. I may try my luck at some ice out crappie later on !!
