Ralph,
I you click on the link I posted and check Apr 23 it shows all lakes to be ice free.
You are right Harold
Also, heard from the resort we go to that the ice is out.
Look out lakers!!
Bought a new lure in Nova Scotia that is designed for Mackerel fishing, but I think it will be good for jigging Simcoe lakers as well as on Manitou if we jig instead of trolling.
Ralph
This is one of my favorate lakes to get up to in the summer, Love taking the kids over by Mile Island to see the Bald Eagles
Which resort do you use up there?
We have had family in Manitoulin Resort for a bunch of years.
Dan
Hi Dan
We go to Mountainview Resort. Bob and Peggi are great hosts.
We also take a look at some eagles on a nearby island, but not sure if it is Mile Island. I know it is very shallow off the ends of the island and gets deep very quickly on the main lake side of the island.
Hopefully, I shall have a good report at the end of next week.
