I'm pumped, can't wait to start flipping for some monsters. It seemed like it was so far away but before we know it, fish on! Your helper looks like a pro , pimping out your bass machine. I hope she gets paid by a great day fishing on the water! Looking good and good luck to all the bassaholics out there this year!🎣

Sturgeon is still a go. Normally I might be a bit concerned about high winds for safety but we're launching in the river so no big deal if there's high winds or lightning. But obviously every one should use the better judgement for safety.

so the forecast is looking kinda sketchy is sturgeon tournament still a go ?
Matts correct.... Tourneys normally are cancelled due to high wind warnings, hurricane or small craft advisory. Sunday will be fine !
If the thunder rolls and you see flash lighting just head to shore and wait it out. Storms generally pass quickly.

nope rain doesn't phase me but it is unfamiliar water so ... just thought id ask
For those that are fishing Sturgeon tourney this weekend and are unfamiliar with the waterway. Please use caution in the River and out to the mouth of the lake. Also if you plan on going into Goose Bay, please be very careful. The channel is the only safe place to run wide open and it is narrow. Off the channel it is "STUMP CITY"
Goose Bay is a mine field of dead trees and huge stumps just below the surface. It appears to be a huge weed flat on the surface but it is dangerous underneath.
