i have an 8" Eskimo power auger and I lost the blade cover yesterday when i was out. unfortunately i wont be able to get down to bass pro tonight and none of the local Canadian tires carry them.

So i was wondering if anyone has any ideas on what to use for one, i was thinking of just using a 5 gal bucket but its a little too bulky.

Thanks

X2 small bucket. Can get a two gallon bucket for less then $3. Take handle off and add a bungee cord. A cheap fix til you can get the proper one.

I didint like the blade cover that came with my auger, it's the style that just covers the blades and uses the ribbed rubber strap as i believe that was causing my blades to dull based on the scrapes i saw inside the cover so i made this, i started with the plastic bucket as well but i travel with a snowmobile so i wanted something durable and this aluminum bucket was the perfect fit for my 8" glued in one of my kids play mats and two bungee cords and viola!!
