It begs the question: "Why are we paying so much for annual update cards on our sonar units?" $125 gets you updates for one year. And that's after you've already put out $200 - $250 for the progam(?)

One thing to keep in mind with the Navionics web app, you'll need a data connection each time you use it. With the pay app you can download maps in advance for use offline, even if you have no cell signal. I have no qualms about paying the renewal fee every year, it's a great app.
