What do you use for catching pike through the ice other than minnows? I've only had luck with live bait, but don't want to have to go to the bait shop every time I want to head out. Feel free to share walleye setups to.

I use the Williams Wobbler spoon, I like gold, silver. Crash the bottom then pull 2-3' up. They work great especially if its sunny. Since pike are primary sight oriented, the flash attracts them. Also try the large rattle baits and larger jigging raps in size 9 or 11-12. In late winter I set 10-12' dead baits on a tip up. Good luck!

I fish mostly dead bait for pike. I'd sooner swing by the grocery store than the baitshop for pike bait. That said I do love the Salmo Zipper for jigging pike. You'll get more refusals than takes but hey, that's pike fishing.
