World Record Trout Group: Members Posts: 1147 Member No.: 13075 Joined: January 11, 2017	Checked out a lake new to me, and was rewarded for putting up with the cold. Surprised to find a laker this big in a mid-smaller lake. Not bad for first fish of 2018! I know where i'm putting my hut this year.

World Record Trout Group: Members Posts: 1147 Member No.: 13075 Joined: January 11, 2017	definitely a really old fish, i promptly released it after a couple quick shots. Nearly inhaled my Williams. Didn't have normal laker markings, like a flat brown-green colour, no spots.

I'm heading to Haliburton from Parry Sound to visit the inlaws at Grass Lk this coming wknd. Hope to entice some walleye there or in Pine Lk . Sounds like cold temps again for Sat., time for the hub tent I guess. Used to icefish fish a bit for lakers when we cottaged on Kennisis Lk. Now it's Georgian Bay , ...when we have ice.
