Awesome looking brookies and congrats on your PB. Can’t wait to target those brookies soon. Wondering if you caught them jigging or on set lines.
deepjigger the smaller one was caught jigging in the flip over on small jig tipped with minnow , the bigger fish was on a set line outside using just a minnow both in about 6 feet of water

Very nice looking fish never caught one myself. Do they fight as much as a lake trout?
they can be very scrappy fish for their size these two came out fast don't like to mess around through the ice too many chances to get wrapped around a branch and get broke off ask sparky 302 he would be the resident brookie expert on this forum

Big specks and small specks are like completely different fish on the line. Smaller fish will spend all there energy trying to throw the hook - head shakes from start to finish. Big ones will try to break your line.
Beauty fish grampa, and that's certainly the machine for the job.
