Alevin Group: Newbies Posts: 17 Member No.: 12198 Joined: August 08, 2016	Any one ever done any fishing at or near Selkirk provincial park? The water seems really shallow and stained (as is often the case with many lake Erie tribs). Wondering if I should pack some carp gear...

Alevin Group: Newbies Posts: 17 Member No.: 12198 Joined: August 08, 2016	Thanks guys, here to report that I didn't manage to catch anything while I was there. The access to Lake Erie was pretty nice and easy for a canoe, but the water stays very shallow until about 200 yards out from shore (which makes it a bit sketchy for the canoe). In the inland bays/canal, the water is about 3-5 feet with tons of mushy weeds and sunken logs in there, lost a few baits that day. Saw lots of massive carps in the creek channel, but no luck unfortunately.
