hello, im going to Sauble Beach provincial park for the long weekend. I was wondering if anybody fish from shore around there. Im not picky about what kind of fish im catching. Im just trying to make my 4 year old son to catch some fish from shore.

Usually I would brought my boat with me but I will be towing my 30' trailer. Need the Air conditioning this weekend for the 2 kids and wife.

Not looking for hot spot just general location, I don't mind walking.

Thanks

Steph

Your best bet might be to drive north the short distance to Sauble River Marina. They're they rent out small fishing boats and there are quite a few species of fish to be had..

Cheers and enjoy the long weekend..

Go towards Wiarton from Oliphant. The Rankin crosses the road and it’s a good spot for kids. Small panfish, a parking lot and portable toilet, shallow with little current. Might be 20 minutes from the park.

Thanks to everyone who reply or pm'ed me. I had a great time and was able to wet the line only for 2 hour on Sunday morning, went to a small creek close to sauble river. I caught one small brookie and some chub minnow. kids had fun with those little fish so I let them fished the small whole I found and just baited the line for them. Smiles in their face was better then chasing bigger fish.

Might go back when the salmon start to run.

cheers
